Biography

“The Mild Mannered Man of Mirth always leaves you smiling.”   Lamb Comedy : Brighton Fringe

“Brings a youthful touch of humour and a huge dollop of laughs to brighten up every audience, every time, at every occasion .” Kevin Chapman : Big Grin City @RADA

Known for his smooth storytelling, his imaginative audience interaction's and his ribtickling gags which had our audiences howling with laughter. A solid act who will add value to any show he appears on". Andrew Carberry : Yellow Comedy

With silly stories aplenty, an occasional dalliance with a pun or five. Johnny brings his childlike, enthusiastic and slightly naive outlook on life, to his Stand-up Comedy musings. Drawing extensively from his life experiences as a former shepherd on a wind farm, an underwater tap dance champion and Manager for a nationwide chain of bottle banks. Combined with his amazing range of animal impressions (well, ok, maybe just the same one repeated three times) he has the ability to provide his comedy bits in five, ten or twenty mirth giggle filled minutes for your delectation and delight (additional humour mirth times are also available upon request).

Johnny does not understand the meaning of fear (and various other big words) unafraid to dance cheek to cheek along the cutting edge of controversy, albeit in a non-controversial and non-threatening manner.  His warm whimsical approach and natural rapport stands him in good stead as either stand up or compère for gigs and events. He has shown his comedy bits all over London and the Home Counties and also for the good people of Hull. Yes, he's been to Hull and back!

With two other comics (Steve Adams & Colin Galletly) known together as  the entity AGM their show AGM - And Gags Matter  were  Audience Choice Award runners up for Best Show at Brighton Fringe 2015,  their follow up AGM - Back In Business in 2016 went one better and won Audience Choice Award for best show at the Fringe. The following year AGM- Unfinished Business  SOLD OUT at the Brighton Fringe in 2017.

Johnny has also hosted radio shows on Wandsworth Radio and currently presents his own show Leighton Live on Leighton Buzz Radio
